How to Block Spam SMS-es Using Keyword Filter in Xiaomi

Recently I have received unsolicited SMS-es about taking cash loans. These are unlicensed money lenders that use unscrupulous tactics to market their illegal services. Obviously, they do not abide by the law and do not provide an option to opt out from their SMS blast list. To make matter worse, they constantly change the phone numbers, so when we block a certain number, we will receive similar SMS-es from other numbers.

Good thing is that I am using Xiaomi that allows me to block messages based on Keywords. So now when there are incoming messages containing the word loan, it will go to my block list and it will not disturb me anymore. I didn't even know that these messages exist unless if I check on the incoming blocked messages. If you use Xiaomi phone, the following tips is on how to set your phone setting for this purpose. Here are the steps to enable keywords SMS block in Xiaomi phone:

1. Find the security icon in your desktop

2. Select Blocklist icon

3. A list of blocked messages will appear, tap on the setting icon on top right corner

4. Choose keywords filter option

5. Enter your desired keywords in this setting form, and all future SMS-es will be blocked
