How To Free Up Space On Your Android Device

Is your smartphone running out of space? When you want to install new apps, you received an error message saying that you have an insufficient disk space? This is a common issue faced by many, especially when you have been using the same phone for more than 1 year. Low disk space will also cause your device to be slow. Before sending it for phone repair, do follow some useful steps here to free up your space.

Backup/Delete Whatsapp Photos & Audio

If you are like most people in Singapore, you would have used Whatsapp intensively for daily communication. Often people will send you pictures and videos, for things like New Year, CNY, Christmas greetings, funny pictures, screenshots of some conversations and etc. These photos and videos will take up quite a bit of space in your phone after 1 or 2 years. You can connect your phone to your laptop and copy the important and memorable photos/videos, and then proceed to delete the ones that are not important.

Uninstall Unused Apps

Backup & Delete Photos/Videos

Lastly, the obvious step will be to backup photos and videos you took with your camera. It is a good practice to keep your photos safe in your laptop or in the cloud. These are important memories that may be lost if you lose your phone and did not do a backup. Delete them away once you have backed them up.
