How to Repair Samsung S5 Cracked Screen

Tools you will require:

Small Phillips driver (PH00 or PH000 will do), Heat gun, Pry tool

Procedure:

Remove the battery and all the screws of the back panel.
The home button pop connector has a plastic cover on it. Remove this cover and unplug it.
Using your heat gun, heat the front side of the phone just enough to be able to separate the cracked display. You will need to detach it from the flex cable. There is a key cable which you have to move away from the lens. If you remove it completely, you will have to replace it. So be extremely careful in this step. Note: Do not try to use anything other than a heat gun to heat up your phone. Some sources will simply not provide enough it and some may overheat your phone and you will then have to replace much more than just a damaged screen.)
Remove any dirt in the open case now. Also remove the leftovers of the adhesives.
Put the newly purchased screen in place of the new one. You are require to put in the adhesives
Reassemble the phone by reversing these steps. Be careful not to break any small parts, lose them or misplace them.
