Use a complex passcode

You can either choose the fingerprint scanning as your passcode or the numeric PIN code. In the case of a numeric passcode, don’t use the common combinations 0000 and 1234.

Instead of using the traditional 4-digit PIN code, use a complex phrase as the passcode. Look for Simple Passcode button in the TouchID and Passcode Lock. Disable it. Now you can use a longer passcode that can consist of alphabets, numbers, and characters.

Erase all data in case of security breach

To prevent websites learning more about you, go in Privacy and turn on Limit Advertisements under the advertisement page. Along with this, change your device id periodically through Reset Advertising Identifier.

Find My iPhone is a great app that can help you track down your lost phone. It’s available on iCloud. The app also lets you erase all the data when your phone is stolen or breached. You can erase the data or track your device remotely from your PC.

Make sure that the app is enabled on your phone as well as on your PC and Mac. Also, check if your device is traceable and listed.
